State Drug Commission Holds Town Hall Meetings
Input from Meetings Will Help Develop Master Plan
The Nevada Commission on Substance Abuse Education, Prevention, Enforcement and Treatment, also known as the "Drug Commission", is holding town meetings in three cities this month to gather the latest information and thoughts on Nevada's alcohol and drug abuse problems.
The information will be used to develop a State Master Plan to track the level of substance abuse in Nevada and the treatment programs in place. The Commission will report its findings to Governor Kenny Guinn and the State Legislature.
Comments from the general public and organizations, coalitions, churches and citizen groups are encouraged. The commission would also like to receive written testimony through September 20th. Testimony can be submitted to:
