Disaster Exercise Course Helps Preparedness
Emergency Responders Learn Exercise Evaluation
Local emergency operations managers in both the public and private sectors are invited to attend a course in exercise evaluation later this month in Las Vegas.
Exercise evaluation is important to any organization with an emergency response plan. Accurate, objective data from an exercise pinpoints problem areas and allows emergency managers to improve their overall response and preparedness plans.
Topics in the course include designing the evaluation portion of an exercise, skills of the evaluation team, the stages of the evaluation process and post-exercise follow-up.
The two-day course is free and will be held August 30th and 31st at the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway in Las Vegas. For registration and further information, contact Debbie Bunch at the Nevada Division of Emergency Management, (775) 687-7362.
