Undercover operation provides evidence for search warrant
A ten month drug investigation and previous undercover drug buy by officers of the TRI-NET Narcotics Task Force resulted in this morning's arrests of two Carson City residents at 742 Elaine Street in Carson City. TRI-NET was assisted by Carson City Sheriff's Office Canine Unit, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit and Parole and Probation.
TRI-NET undercover officers purchased drugs in November from Carson City resident, Ben Warren, 26, which provided evidence for a search warrant and his eventual arrest on December 3. Warren was booked into the Carson City jail for drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphanelia. He is currently under supervision by Parole and Probation and a probation revocation has been issued.
Also arrested at 742 Elaine Street was Lorraine Warren, 42, of Carson City. She was booked into the Carson City jail for possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property.
A simultaneous search warrant was also served by TRI-NET officers at 1305 Siskiyou Drive in Carson City, which resulted in the arrest of Salvador Luna-Ortiz, 25, for drug trafficking of methamphetamines.
The TRI-NET Narcotics Task Force is a multi-jurisdictional task force comprised of Investigators from the Lyon County Sheriff's Department, Douglas County Sheriff's Department, Carson City Sheriff's Department and the Nevada Division of Investigation.
