The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles office at 8250 West Flamingo Road in Las Vegas will remain open but may curtail services following a partial air conditioning failure Monday.

The DMV may close written testing and some service windows in the north side of the building if temperatures reach uncomfortable levels. The air conditioning system on the south side of the building is functioning normally.

Repairs are underway as the Nevada State Buildings and Grounds Division is expected to install a temporary compressor system early in the morning of July 3.  An air conditioning compressor needed for permanent repairs is being shipped from the east coast.

Customers are being asked to avoid the West Flamingo DMV in the afternoons until repairs can be made.  The DMV also offers more than 20 online services and has self-service kiosks at 25 locations throughout the Las Vegas valley. Please check the DMV website for details at www.dmvnv.com.
