WHAT:
A ribbon cutting to mark the addition of 18 new DMV self-service kiosks statewide, including one at the UNLV Student Union. The addition of 18 kiosks brings the total statewide to 45. New DMV kiosk functions include accepting applications for driver’s license and identification card renewals, duplicate driver’s license, identification cards and instruction permits, and accepting payment for a registration reinstatement resulting from a lapse in insurance. The DMV kiosks also process registration renewals and decals, and driver history records. Most of the new “DMVs in a Box” are located in area supermarkets.
A ribbon cutting at the kiosk located at an Albertson's supermarket in Henderson will follow.
A ribbon cutting at the University of Nevada Reno is scheduled for March 16, 2012.
