DMV Enforcement Officers Arrest Auto Broker on Five Felony Counts

Compliance Enforcement officers from the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles arrested Stanley Sims of Sims Auto Sales, Inc. on five counts of felony embezzlement relating to his business at about 12:30 p.m. today outside his Reno home.

The Department has been investigating Sims’ business practices for the last five months. The investigation was initiated after the Department received numerous complaints about Sims Auto Sales, Inc., a licensed auto broker. Customers of the business complained that they were unable to obtain titles to the vehicles they purchased.

The investigation resulted in a grand jury indictment. Bail for Sims was set at $15,000.
