NDI Featured on National TV
"State Police" airs Monday in Las Vegas
The Nevada Division of Investigation (NDI) will get national publicity this coming Monday on the syndicated television show "State Police".
NDI's Major Crimes Unit will be featured at work on two cases.
One is the investigation of the skeletal remains of a U.S. Cavalry soldier found near Unionville, Nevada, in Pershing County. The soldier was killed by bullet wounds to the head in the 1860s. A group of Winnemucca residents did a re-enactment of the death for "State Police".
The second case is the investigation of a more-recent murder victim, whose remains were found in the early 1990s near Battle Mountain, Nevada, in Lander County. This investigation led NDI to ask for assistance from Louisiana State University, which did a computer-aided facial reconstruction on the victim.
"State Police" airs Monday night at 10 p.m. on KTUD-TV, Channel 25 in Las Vegas, Cable Channel 14. Earlier this year, "State Police" aired two segments featuring Nevada Highway Patrol troopers. The NHP segments will be repeated in early April.
