Director Kirkland to Give Keynote Address to
Nevada Highway Patrol Academy Graduates

20 Troopers to graduate from Nevada Highway Patrol Academy XLV on April 6, 2001

After 22 weeks of intense training, twenty law enforcement cadets will graduate from the XLV class of the Nevada Highway Patrol Academy. Graduation ceremonies will be held on Friday, April 6 at 2:00pm in the Nevada Room at the Governor's Mansion at 606 Mountain Street in Carson City. The keynote speaker will be DMV&PS Director Richard Kirkland .

"This graduation ceremony marks the successful completion of 22 weeks of intense, live-in training and evaluation." said Director Richard Kirkland. "These officers will now return to their respective duty stations to begin their new careers as Nevada Highway Patrol troopers."

Extensive law enforcement training began on November 6, 2000 with courses including State and federal law, firearms, emergency vehicle operations and defensive tactics. The list of successful Nevada Highway Patrol graduates and their duty stations of Academy XLV is as follows:
